About Suzanna

I've been into Horses since I dismayed my semi detatched, one cat one dog, suburban family at the age of about 6 when I had to be continually, physically removed from the local stables on the Pennines.

By the age of twelve I was living in South Wales and my Grandad bought me a pony 'Siandi' (a Welsh Sec C), after what seemed like an age of unsuccessful showing Siandi we won the Welsh Cob under Saddle class at Caerphilly Horse Show judged by Roscoe Lloyd of the Derwen Stud, and I was well and truly hooked on Welsh Cobs!

At that time Siandi was in foal to a beautiful Show Pony Stallion 'Henbury Beau' a grandson of Criban Victor, so I got hooked on breeding too!

By the early eighties I had registered the ToryMynydd prefix as I lived at Llanfihangle ToryMynydd in the Wye Valley, soon after that I moved to a farm in Cornwall and the cobs, showing and breeding increased. I leased a stallion 'Gwenllan Prince William' for two years and then bought 'Derwen Supreme', who stayed with me for the rest of his life! I have bred approximately 130-150 pure and partbred Welsh cobs.

I am a member of the WPCS Panel of Judges. I have shown successfully at major county shows including Bath & West, Royal Cornwall, Devon County, Royal Welsh and the International Welsh Show. Being from a non-horsey family I have, I feel, learnt everything I know the hard way, I know it was very, very difficult to get simple help and tips regarding the showing of Cobs in those days, and of breeding I could tell stories of horror and joy, I think I experienced almost every scenario with foaling. If any of what I have learnt over these long years can be of help to anyone I will gladly pass it on, just ask!

The items I am selling, are all tried, tested and approved. The show halters were developed as part of a University module when I studied Design at Plymouth University, feedback, usage and necessity have created all the variations, consequently I have been making and selling Halters worldwide since 1997. Everything I sell I know to be a good product for its purpose. Now living in the heart of Cob Country I am also trying to gather and share Welsh Cob memorabilia and artifacts that I know are hard to find outside this area. I welcome your comments, or suggestions, if you are looking for a particular item or information of a particular animal, just ask, I will help if I can!
